About
The Mebane Women’s Club (www.mebanewc.com) is committed to sustainable projects that make a positive difference in the lives of the Mebane community. The latest community improvement initiative, the Mebane Community Garden, launched in March of 2008.Plots are rented from March through November for a fee of $40 for large (16X4) and $25 for the small (8X4). The nominal fee will be used to support the garden (insurance costs, general maintenance, educational programs, etc.). We encourage individuals, schools, companies, everyone to take part!
Donations are accepted throughout the year. Our wish list includes:
- compost, manure, mulch, and soil amendments
- bulbs and perennials
- vegetable and flower seeds
- building supplies (to help us build a tool shed, compost bins, etc.)
- tools
- monetary donations
We have all the garden gnomes we need.
